Aluminium Alloy
5083 Aluminium Alloy
The 5083 Aluminium alloy is generally supplied as a flat rolled product in plate or sheet form and is well known for its performance in the most extreme environments. The product offers the highest strength of all the non-heat-treatable alloys and can not be used above 65 degrees thanks to the bonding of magnesium and traces of manganese and chromium inside. The 5083 alloy benefits from good weldability and retains strength after this process, it combines excellent ductility with good formability.
Some of the applications of 5083 Tubing include:
- Shipbuilding
- Rail Cars
- Vehicle Bodies
- Tip Truck Bodies
- Mine Skips & Cages
- Pressure Vessels
